The heart of the Wye Valley is the only Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that spans the Welsh-English border, and there are many famous walks in and around the area.
Offas Dyke Path and the Wye Valley Walk are probably the most well heard of, but there are many shorter or circular routes that take in the stunning scenery of the Valley, the Forest, and the surrounding hills.
In the pub, we have a number of books with local walks detailed that you are welcome to come and browse. Some of the walks are circular, some are a ‘there and back’, and some are linear that make use of the local bus services (we recommend you check the times on the Monmouthshire County Council website).
It is also a beautiful area to take in by cycle or on horseback. There are many parking areas within local woods if you are able to ‘park & ride’ .
